A tested IQ of 120 is a hard floor, and the chance of admission rises from there with evidence of agency (real initiative, independent learning, real ambition), obsession with a technology, business idea, field of study or art form (passion isn't enough), and willingness to sacrifice what the work may demand (e.g. comfort, income, social life, the safe path).
