Application Process
The application procedure consists of two stages. The first stage consists of applying and submitting a personal statement with supporting evidence and any proof of competence. The second stage consists of giving two interviews. One interview will be with one or several admissions officers and one will be with one or several subject matter experts in domains chosen by the applicant. For the interviews, preparation will be neither necessary nor possible.
All claims the applicant makes in the process, regarding skills, achievements, challenges, interests, talents and so on, must be supported with evidence.
Proof of intelligence can take the form of IQ test results or the results of a related test such as the SAT. These data will be taken into consideration and will increase the applicant’s chances of admission.
Competencies are also important, particularly for certain fields of study. For example, to study mathematics at university level it is important to have a good understanding of mathematics beforehand. Any proof of such competencies, such as school reports and awards won, will be taken into consideration.
A high school diploma is not required and will not be taken into consideration.
Applicants who do not speak English as their first language must submit proof of English proficiency (equivalent to C1 or higher).
Applications can be made throughout the year. There is no application deadline.
Fees
We charge an application fee of $75.
To enrolled students, we charge a monthly enrollment fee, as well as individual fees for assessments and curriculum development. Fees for assessments and curriculum development differ per academic and we let our enrollment fee depend on the financial means of the student.
For curriculum development, students should budget between $200 and $300 initially and for each revision. For each assessment, which will only be required for material that students are not sufficiently assessed for by other institutions, students should budget about $150. Enrollment fees are between $0 and $850 per month.
How to apply
To apply, please fill in the application form, attach your personal statement and pay the $75 application fee. Your personal statement may not contain more than 1000 words and must explain why you are applying to Frontier University specifically, what your goals and interests are, what sets you apart from others and why we should admit you over the many others who have chosen to apply.
When we have assessed your personal statement and supporting evidence, we will tell you whether you have passed the initial stage of the admissions process and, if you have, how to proceed.
